04/12/2015 - College PREP - Long Island, NY Kelli is a 2018 SS with a developing skill set. In the box Kelli has a square set up with good balance. She is an aggressive hitter and is able to generate bat speed as she drives to contact. Kelli is a team player and works hard to put the ball in play, forcing the defense to make a play. Being more direct to contact and staying inside the ball will allow Kelli to see more consistency at the plate. Defensively Kelli has an athletic presence in the field and is a hustler. She uses efficient footwork and does a nice job to stay with the play in front of her. Adding a pre pitch to her approach will allow Kelli to get a strong first step on the ball and will also help her play through the ball more. With soft/sure hands she makes a good transfer and makes accurate throws to her target with carry. Overall Kelli is a coachable player and with continued reps, coaching and exposure she will have the opportunity to take her game to the next level.
