03/18/2018 - College PREP - Las Vegas, NV Kya is a 2021 right handed third baseman and pitcher with a strong skill set. Defensively, she has active feet and is agile in her range. She stays square and athletic in her fielding position and moves well through her throw. She has an accurate arm and keeps her throws on line to her target. On the mound, she has a calm presence and extends through on her release. She keeps an open hip direction and stays tall in her finish. Her mechanics are controlled and she has solid spin on her drop ball. Offensively, Kya has a square set up in the box and a short stride to the ball. She loads back well and keeps her hips and hands working well together through her swing. She makes consistently hard contact and is aggressive in the box. Overall, Kya has great work ethic and if she continues to work hard she will make a great asset to a collegiate program in her future.
