11/13/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - North Branford, CT Kayla is a talented 2023 catcher who attended the Softball Factory Event in Hartford, CT. Behind the plate, she tracks the ball well into her glove, makes accurate throws, covers the five hole well, and tucks her chin on blocks. Some things for her to work on are a quicker exchange/release, and being quicker with her movements behind the plate. Hitting wise, she has a great base/setup, makes consistent contact, and has a solid swing path. If she can work on a better weight transfer and staying direct to the ball, she will be even stronger at the plate. Overall, Kayla is a very talented athlete and someone our coaches would love to work with again!
