01/15/2016 - 2016 Softball Factory All-America Pre-Season Tournament Laura is a 2018 OF who hits and slaps from the left side. In the box she uses a square set up with good balance and on time rhythm. She has an activated load, takes a direct route to the ball and generates good bat speed. She is a consistent line drive hitter that shows the ability to work the gaps. When slapping she does a nice job of working opposite field and the 5/6 hole. Avoiding an arm bar in her load when slapping will allow Lauren to keep her backside strong. In the OF Laura is an athletic and vocal player. She has a good first step, tracks the ball well and has quick footwork. She uses the proper arm slot, makes accurate throws and gets rid of the ball quickly. Working to play through the ball will allow her to generate momentum to her target and see more carry on her throws. Overall Laura is a hard working player and with continued coaching and exposure she will have the opportunity to take her game to the next level.
