Behind the plate, she has fluid footwork, shifts well and has good lateral movements. She is athletic in her catching stance and receives the ball with firm hands in the zone. She is quick with her exchange and makes accurate throws. At shortstop, she has quick footwork and is agile in her movements. She has a low fielding position and a great glove angle to the ball. She reads the ball off the bat well and is aggressive each play. Offensively, Desanay has a great eye at the plate and reads the ball out of the pitchers hand well. She is on-time with her stride and loads well in her pre-pitch approach. Her barrel is on plane through the zone, gets to extension and makes hard contact gap to gap.
