01/08/2021 - 2021 Softball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament Lia is an athletic OF/SS prospect who showcased her skills during the Pre-Season Prospects Tournament. In the field, Lia takes a quick first step and works behind the ball well. She gets into an athletic position and fields with a relaxed glove. Her exchange is clean and she gets rid of the ball quickly, making accurate throws with carry through her target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a controlled stride. She is fluid to load and remains centered in her lower half. She works through a short swing with fast bat speed, leading to strong gap to gap power. Overall, Lia is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon her skills on the field.
11/09/2017 - Softball Factory Select Training & Competition at Historic Dodgertown Lia is a 2022 outfielder, shortstop that will absolutely do whatever is asked of her. She will work hard to be the best and adjust on whatever she needs to be better. Defensively, Lia has active footwork and has good range in all directions. She is athletic in her fielding position and presents her glove well with her pre-pitch. Lia gives max effort at all times and follows through well with her momentum. She has good footwork and leads the ball out well for a good receiving hop. Lia also makes accurate, on-line throws to her target. Offensively, Lia is athletic in her stance and takes a short stride to contact. She loads well and stays fluid to contact. Lia stays balanced throughout her swing and stays connected with her hips/hands. She is on plane with each pitch and displays consistency in the box. Overall, Lia is a great athlete that will develop to be very successful at the collegiate level.
