01/17/2020 - 2020 Softball Factory All-America Pre-Season Tournament Madelyn is a 2021 3B that has earned Softball Factory Pre-Season All American honors. Throughout the weekend Madelyn proved to be a coachable player that hustles every play. In the box, she made consistent hard contact and showed gap to gap power. She is smart on the base path and ready to move up on misplays by the defense. In the OF, Madelyn is an exciting player to watch. She is quick to the ball and is able to make the diving play. She has a strong arm and makes accurate throws. Overall, Madelyn has the work ethic and tools needed to play at the collegiate level.
10/27/2019 - College PREP - Stillwater (Minneapolis), MN Madelyn Buchert is a 2021 right-handed third baseman with a strong skill set. Defensively, Madelyn has an active pre-pitch approach and efficient footwork into the ball. She is agile in her range and fields from a low and athletic position. She presents her glove to the ball early and has a quick exchange. She makes accurate throws to her target and shows strength in her release. Offensively, Madelyn has a square setup and on-time stride in her pre-pitch approach. She loads well into her lower half and a smooth rhythm throughout her swing. She has a fast bat speed through the zone and makes hard contact consistently. She shows power to all fields. Overall, Madelyn is an athlete with good work ethic and attitude.
