12/27/2020 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament - Prospects Madison is a coachable 2B/OF prospect who showed well during the Christmas Camp & Tournament. In the field, Madison shows quick footwork and works behind the ball well. She gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of her body. Her exchange is clean and she gets rid of the ball quickly, making strong/accurate throws through her target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a soft stride. She gets into a simple load and drives through well with her lower half. She works through a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and gap to gap power. Overall, Madison is a talented prospect who has the time and potential to further build upon her skills on the field.
08/10/2020 - National Evaluation and Tryout - Sugar Land (Houston), TX Monroy continues to work hard and progress on the diamond. With the bat, this righty maintains an athletic/balanced stance with active hands to load. She whips the barrel, engages her lower 1/2 and squares the ball up spraying it to all parts of the field. Defensively at 2B, she has active prep with quick footwork and + lateral range. She tracks GB's into a soft mitt, gathers well and has a clean transfer to throw. Madison has a solid skill-set with upside as she approaches her freshman season.
06/05/2020 - All-In Membership - Sugar Land (Houston), TX Madison is a talented 2B who can make things happen on the diamond. With the bat, this RHH displays an athletic setup with centered balance and fluid rhythm to load. She works back to a strong launch position, fires the barrel with speed and connects with pop. She squares the ball up and creates god extension through contact. At 2B, she has active prep footwork and comes to get the GB. She has soft hands and a clean exchange to throw. Only a 2024 grad - Madison has skills with a very bright future ahead of her in the game.
01/20/2020 - Interactive Video Program - Conroe (Houston), TX Madison Monroy is a 2024 utility player with a developed skill set. At second base, she has quick and efficient footwork and an athletic fielding position. She has soft hands when receiving the ball and is agile in her lateral movements. In the outfield, she has fluid footwork and efficient movements into each ball. She has accurate throws to her target and shows strength in her release over the top. Offensively, she has a square setup and has a powerful load in her pre-pitch approach. She has an athletic stance and has the ability to extend her barrel through the zone allowing her to make hard contact consistently.
