11/08/2018 - Softball Factory Select Training & Competition at Historic Dodgertown (Grad Years 2019-2023) Madisyn returns for the Softball Factory Select Training & Competition at Historic Dodgertown. Since her last outing, Madisyn has made improvements to all her tool grades. In the box, Madisyn is a RHH that uses a square stance with a short stride and centered balance. She is short to the ball, makes consistent contact and is a line drive hitter. Working to power through contact will allow her to see harder contact and more power. At 2B, Madisyn has a good presence. She reads the ball off the bat, takes good angles and shows good range. She is smooth to her backhand and plays through well. She uses the proper arm slot and makes accurate throws. Adding a long toss program to her workouts will allow her to see more carry on the ball. Overall, Madisyn is an athletic player that will continue to improve her skill set and others around her.
08/05/2018 - College PREP - Ashburn (DC), VA Madisyn is a 2022 right handed second baseman with a strong skill set. Defensively, she is fluid in her motion to the ball and has soft hands receiving the ball. She is short to the ball and covers a lot of ground. She makes accurate throws to her target and shows solid backhand mechanics when fielding the ball on that side. Offensively, she has a square set up in the box and a short stride to the ball. She stays smooth in her rhythm in the box and center in her balance. She drives through her lower half to create pop behind her contact and has the ability to spray the ball to all sides of the field. Overall, Madisyn is athletic and hustles hard. If she continues to do so, she will do what it takes to play at the next level.
