Defensively, Maia has quick footwork around each ball and is agile in her lateral range. She fields from an athletic position and creates great angles around the ball to create momentum back into an accurate throw to her targets. She has a strong first step and isn’t afraid to lay out for a ball. Offensively, she has an open setup and short stride. Her balance is centered and she has the ability to hit from gap to gap.
