08/05/2018 - College PREP - Ashburn (DC), VA Marissa is a 2020 right handed third baseman with catcher with a developing skill set. At third base, she has active feet and range to her glove side. She has soft hands when receiving the ball and a clean exchange on her throws to her target. She stays fluid in her motion to the ball and keeps her throws on line to her target. Behind the plate, she gets around the ball well on her blocks and stays athletic in her catching position. She receives the ball well and frames each pitch. She makes accurate throws to bases and pops out quickly on bunts. Offensively, she has a square set up in the box and a short stride to the ball. She loads back well in her legs and stays center in her balance. She has fast hands through the zone and solid extension to the ball. Overall, Marissa has a great attitude and hustles hard. She will do what it takes to play at the next level.

06/18/2018 - Softball Factory World Series (Grad Year 2018-2022) Marissa is a strong 2020 catcher. In the box, Marissa is a RHH that uses a open stance with square stride and centered balance. She loads her hands back, generates explosive bat speed and takes a direct path to the ball. She makes consistent contact and is a line drive hitter with gap power. Working to keep her hands and lower half together will allow her to see more power production. Behind the plate, Marissa has good instincts. She receives with soft hands, makes a quick, clean transfer and makes accurate throws with carry. She reads balls in the dirt well and gets her body in the right position for blocking. Keeping a strong wrist when receiving the ball will allow her to frame tough pitches in the river for strikes. Overall, Marissa is an athletic player and will be a great asset at the collegiate level.

06/03/2018 - College PREP - Washington, DC Marissa is a 2020 RHH with a strong bat. In the box, Marissa has an athletic set up with a soft stride and centered balance. She loads her hands back, creates fluid rhythm and generates explosive bat speed. She makes hard, consistent contact and hits with power to all fields. Working to stay strong in her stance throughout her swing will allow her to see more long ball production. Overall, Marissa is an athletic player with the tools needed to hit at the collegiate level.
