01/28/2018 - College PREP - Phoenix, AZ Masie is a 2020 RHP that hits from the left side. On the mound, Masie has a calm and confident presence. She has good balance, a free arm action and extends through release. She shows good control of the zone and is able to change speeds. She creates good movement on her change up and is able to generate ground ball outs for her defense. Continuing to work on her velocity will help strengthen her skill set. In the box, Masie is a LHH that uses a tall stance with a soft stride and centered balance. She works to put the ball in play with line drive power. When slapping she does a nice job of deadening the ball. Working to be quick to contact will allow her to see consistent production in the box. Overall, Masie is a strong pitcher that will have success at the next level.
