04/14/2019 - College PREP - Highland Park (DFW), TX Mattison is a 2023 right handed pitcher with a strong skill set. On the mound, she is calm and confident in her presence. She extends through well on her release and keeps an open hip direction. She stays tall in her finish and athletic in her balance. She makes great use out of her legs and drives off of the mound to create strong velocity behind her pitches. Offensively, she has an athletic set up in the box and a short stride to the ball. She stays fluid in her rhythm and center in her balance. She is explosive through the zone with her barrel and makes hard contact consistently to all parts of the field. Overall, Mattison hustles hard and has great work ethic.
