05/31/2018 - Softball Factory College World Series Select Training (Grad Year 2018-2022) McKenna is a 2022 right handed pitcher with a developing skill set. On the mound, she extends through well on her release and keeps an open hip direction. She is smooth in her mechanics and has a strong base to drive off of the mound. She stays controlled in her finish and uses her body well in each pitch that she throws. Offensively, she has a square set up and an on time stride to the ball. She loads back well and stays fluid in her rhythm. She is a solid contact hitter and shows power to all sides of the field. Overall, McKenna works hard and makes adjustments when needed.
01/28/2018 - College PREP - Norcross, GA McKenna is a 2022 right handed pitcher with a developing skill set. On the mound, she has a calm and confident presence. She extends through on her release and has a long, loose wind up. She stays athletic in her balance and uses her lower half really well in her pitches. She has correct mechanics on each pitch but by focusing on keeping a tighter spin on her curve ball will allow her to move the ball more consistently to hit the corner of the plate rather than throw across her body. Offensively, she has a tall set up in the box and swings hard at each pitch. She shows power to her pull side but needs to let the ball travel more in order to go opposite field with her hits. Once she works on her timing and weight transfer she will make more consistent, hard contact. Overall, McKenna has great work ethic and adjusts well. If she continues to work hard she will do what it takes to play at the next level.
