03/01/2020 - Interactive Video Program - Indianapolis, IN Melanee is a young two-way player - LHP/1B - that will graduate in 2026. Defensively at 1B, she worked to get her body in front of the ball and was quick to get the ball into her throwing hand. Her arm worked quick to throw and she was accurate to her targets. Offensively, she hit from a square/athletic setup and had a smooth load to get the swing going. Her balance was centered and she used her hips & hands together to deliver the barrel. She had a spray approach and flashed good oppo power potential. As a pitcher, Melanee threw a FB 41-42mph, CH 38-40mph, DR 43-44mph, and a CU from 38-41mph. Her pace of delivery was very good and repeatable, and she kept her eyes on the target. Controlling her balance, and loosening her arm action will help to boost control and effectiveness. Overall - Melanee is an exciting follow with time to continue refining and developing her skills for next level play!
