01/17/2020 - 2020 Softball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Mia Gilham is a 2024 RHP with a developing skill set. She was able to showcase her skills in a multitude of ways during this event and it was evident that she has a true passion for the game. Offensively, she has a relaxed setup and soft stride to the ball. Her balance is centered and her mechanics controlled. She extends all the way through the zone and makes hard contact to work back up the middle. In the circle, she has a calm presence and an aggressive mindset. She can work ahead in the count and is consistent with her pitches. She works both sides of the plate well and has a strike out pitch to retire batters. Overall, Mia is an athlete who is willing and able to play multiple positions and with continued work, could play at the next level.
