02/18/2023 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Marlborough (Boston), MA Mia is a 2024 grad who pitches and plays outfield. She has fluid mechanics on the mound and movement with her change and rise ball. She hit a top speed of 58MPH on her fastball. In the box, Mia has quick hands and late bat whip producing a 72MPH exit velocity. In the outfield, she makes routine plays and has accurate throws to her target. Overall, Mia is a versatile athlete with a solid skill set on the diamond.
12/18/2020 - Softball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Mia is a coachable 1B/RHP prospect who showcased her skills during the Academic All-American Tournament. At 1B, Mia fields with soft hands and makes accurate throws to her target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a crouched stance and takes a soft stride. She gets into a small load and drives through well with her lower half, producing loud contact and line drives. In the circle, Mia shows a three pitch mix with her fastball topping out at 55mph. Changeup sits from 36-38mph. Screwball sits at 50mph with sharp movement. Overall, Mia is a solid prospect who has the time and potential to further build upon her skills on the field.
01/17/2020 - 2020 Softball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Mia Rubirosa is a 2024 right-handed pitcher and first baseman who has a developed skill set. She showcased her skills in a multitude of areas and won MVP at this event! In the circle, Mia is composed and has an aggressive mindset. She gets ahead early in the count and has the ability to hold runners. She commands each of her pitches and can spot each pitch on both sides of the plate. She utilizes a great change-up to keep batters on their toes and controls the speed of the game. Offensively, Mia has a tall setup and soft stride to the ball. Her barrel is on-plane and fast through the zone. Her movements are fluid and she makes hard contact consistently to all fields. Overall, Mia is a great leader, team player, and hard worker. She has a true passion for the game and great potential to take her game to the next level.
01/18/2019 - 2019 Softball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Mia is a 2024 first baseman. Defensively, she is athletic in her fielding position and quick in her footwork. She is agile in her range and has soft hands when receiving the ball. She makes accurate throws to her target and has strength behind her throws. Offensively, she has an athletic set up in the box and a soft stride to the ball. She is controlled in her rhythm and gets great extension through her swing. She has good barrel control and works hard every time she steps on the field.
12/09/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Nyack (NYC), NY Mia is a 2024 RHP/1B with a developing skill set. On the mound, she has a calm presence and extends through well on her release. She has good balance and a full arm circle in her motion. She is controlled in her finish and displays good movement on her pitches. At 1B, she is square in her fielding position and has soft hands when receiving the ball. She has a clean exchange on her throws to her target and stays short in her action to the ball. She makes accurate throws to her target and keeps her throws on line. Offensively, she has a square setup in the box and a short stride to the ball. She loads back well in her legs and keeps her hands level through the zone. Overall, Mia is very coachable and works hard. If she continues to work hard she will do what it takes to play at the next level.
