09/21/2014 - College PREP - Adrian (Detroit), MI Mickey is a senior outfielder/second baseman with a developing skill set. At second base, Mickey has a good presence. She makes the effort to get to every ball and gets dirty when needed. Mickey has good underhand transfers and makes the routine plays. By working on her footwork, reaction time, and angles to the ball, Mickey will increase her range in the infield. As an outfielder, Mickey calls the ball loud and with confidence. She has an above average arm and needs to work to keep the ball lower to the ground and bounce out in front of the plate. She has the right idea about a solid crow up she just needs to smooth it out. Offensively, Mickey has a slightly closed stance and stride. She had good box presence and maintains solid balance throughout her swing. Mickey will benefit from adding a load to her swing, making hard contact, and getting to the extension position. Overall, Mickey is an athlete with the right mind set that will continue to develop as a player.
