06/18/2018 - Softball Factory World Series (Grad Year 2018-2022) Mya returns to Softball Factory to show she is ready to take her game to the collegiate level. During game play, Mya proved to a coachable player with a strong work ethic. She also proved to staff that she has the skill set needed to be an impact player at the collegiate level. In the box, Mya shows good pitch recognition. She is able to draw the walk and is able to handle being hit by a pitch to become a baserunner. She is a line drive hitter that shows power potential. At SS, Mya shows her athleticism with her range. She reads the ball off the bat and is willing to get dirty to keep the ball in front. She has an accurate arm with plus carry. Overall, Mya is a talented player that we are excited to see contribute at the collegiate level.
04/22/2018 - College PREP - Highland Park (DFW), TX Mya is a 2019 right handed shortstop with a developing skill set. Defensively, she has quick and fluid footwork. She is agile in her range and stays athletic in her fielding position. She has a clean exchange to her target and is fluid in her action to the ball. She cuts the field in half and has solid bag awareness. She has a strong arm and recovers well. Offensively, Mya has a square set up in the box and a soft stride to the ball. She is smooth in her rhythm and center in her balance. She is explosive through the zone with her bat and makes consistent hard contact with the ball. Overall, Mya has great work ethic and will do what it takes to play at the next level.
