01/12/2018 - Softball Factory Spring Training at Historic Dodgertown Nola is a 2021 shortstop and outfielder with a strong skill set. She hustles hard on and off of the field and has a learners attitude. She is always trying to better her game and that will take her far in this game if she continues to have that work ethic. Defensively at shortstop she has quick footwork and stays light on her feet. She is agile in her range and can cover a lot of ground. She has a quick and clean exchange with good feeds on double plays. She stays fluid in her body and keeps her throws on line to her target. In the outfield, Nola has fluid feet and stays light on her feet. She is athletic in her fielding position and gets a good jump on the ball right off of the bat. She reads the ball well and takes good angles back. She is short in her action and makes accurate throws to bases. Nola positions herself well to get behind the ball in order to come through the ball to create more momentum on her throw. Offensively, Nola has good pitch selection and loads back well in her legs. She is athletic in her set up in the box and stays center in her balance. She has a soft stride to the ball and is smooth in her actions. She keeps her hands inside of the ball well and shows good barrel control. Overall, Nola is a great kid and if she continues to work hard she will make a successful and strong asset to a collegiate team.
11/19/2017 - College PREP - Savannah, GA Nola is a 2021 two-way player as a SS/OF. In the box, Nola is a LHH that uses a square stance and on-time stride. She makes consistent contact and is a spray hitter. She is able to slap and drag bunt from the left side as well. She makes good contact points and is quick down the baseline. Working to use the same grip with each approach will allow her to keep defenses on their toes. At SS, Nola has a good pre-pitch approach and reads the ball off the bat. She has quick feet and is able to cover a lot of ground. Nola makes a clean exchange, has a fluid arm action and makes accurate throws. Working on her double play timing will round out her skill set. In the OF, Nola handles the routine play well. She makes a quick exchange and makes accurate throws with carry. Working to play through the ball will allow her to generate more momentum to her target.
