01/08/2021 - 2021 Softball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament Phoebe continues to show as a top prospect on the diamond. At SS, she displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as she works around balls and plays through with her body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Feet are quick as she moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with on line carry across the diamond. At the plate, she continue to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick (69 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a level swing path. She shows a feel for the barrel stays inside the ball with gap to gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing and she shows a feel for the barrel. At the event, she was 5 for 7 with 3 2B. Mental makeup is a plus as she is very coachable and works hard to be the best player she can be.
12/27/2019 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament (Prospects) Phoebe Durden is a 2021 right-handed shortstop with a strong skill set. Defensively, Phoebe has athletic movements and developed mechanics. She has good footwork to and through ground balls and great feeds on double play balls. She shows agility in her lateral range and can make accurate throws to her target. Offensively, Phoebe has an athletic and relaxed stance. She loads well into her lower half and has explosive movements. She has a fast barrel through the zone and extends well through after contact. She has natural power and can hit to all fields consistently. Overall, Phoebe is an athlete with a clear passion for the game. She is hardworking, coachable, and has a great attitude.
