12/27/2017 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament - Session 2 Puakea is a 2022 catcher that is coachable with a strong skill set. Behind the plate, Puakea has active footwork and an athletic setup. She has great posture and receives the ball well in the center of her body. Puakea gets out of the box quick and makes adjustments well when needed. She has a clean exchange and fluid arm action. Puakea works well with her momentum and makes accurate, on-line throws. Offensively, Puakea makes hard contact and has a good lower half. She stays connected with her hips/hands and has a direct swing path. Puakea hits the ball well to opposite field and squares the ball up with aggression. Overall, Puakea has great energy on the field and has great team leadership.
