01/15/2021 - 2021 Softball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Sage is an athletic SS who has a bright future on the field. At SS, she displays clean/smooth actions. Feet are active as she displays proper footwork as she works to square ground balls up and plays through with her body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Throws are accurate with carry (51 mph velocity) to her target but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. She moves well laterally with range improving as she increases foot quickness. At the plate she shows a closed setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. She makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Mental makeup is a plus as she is very coachable, works hard to be the best player she can be, and is a team player. With 5 years to further develop, Sage has a lot of potential with time and room to progress her game.
