At first base, she has quick feet and agile range. She stays low and square in her fielding position and has soft hands when fielding the ball. She fields the ball out front and keeps good momentum through each play. On the mound, Samantha extends through on her release and stays tall in her finish. She is athletic in her balance and fluid in her arm action. If she focuses on driving through her legs more she will create more velocity behind her pitches. Offensively, she has a tall set up and a soft stride in the box. She shows power to her pull side and has an on time stride in the box. She keeps her head on the ball and stays level through the zone. Overall, Samantha is very coachable and adjusts well. If she continues to work hard she will do what it takes to play at the next level.
