11/10/2019 - College PREP - East Hampton (Hartford), CT Samantha is a SS/OF prospect who continues to showcase her skills on the field. At SS, Samantha shows quick footwork and is agile moving to the ball. She gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. She makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping her throws accurate and on-line to her target. In the OF, Samantha shows fluid footwork and is agile moving to the ball. She gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of her body. She makes a quick exchange and gains momentum well on her throws, keeping them accurate and on-line to her target. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an athletic stance with center balance. She shows smooth rhythm and produces solid pop to all fields. Overall, Samantha is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop her skills on the field.
01/18/2019 - 2019 Softball Factory All-America Pre-Season Tournament Samantha joins us again at the 2019 Softball Factory All-America Pre-Season Tournament. In the outfield, she gets in an athletic fielding position and has active feet. She stays light on her feet to the ball and tracks the ball well off the bat. She works behind the ball to come through with solid momentum into her throws. She makes accurate throws to her target and communicates well with her teammates. She is strong in her release and quick in her action to the ball. Offensively, she has a tall set up in the box and a small stride to the ball. She is on time in her load and explosive through the zone with her hands. She makes hard contact and drives the ball to her pull side. Overall, Samantha has a great work ethic and brings good energy to the field. We look forward to seeing what the future holds.
09/09/2018 - College PREP - Beverly (Boston), MA Samantha is a shortstop with a developing skill set. Defensively, she has range to her glove side and a clean exchange on her throws to her target. She stays fluid in her action to the ball and has a quick transfer and release. She stays low through the ball and moves well laterally. Offensively, she has a tall set up in the box and an on time stride to the ball. She loads back well in her legs and stays center in her balance. Her hips and hands work well together and she makes hard contact consistently to her pull side. Overall, Samantha adjusts well and has great work ethic. If she continues to work hard she will do what it takes to play at the next level.
12/27/2017 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament - Session 2 Samantha is a 2021 shortstop with great hustle and attitude. Defensively, Samantha has quick footwork and agile range. She is athletic, low in her pre-pitch and presents her glove well. She has firm glove work and takes good angles to the ball. Samantha also has a quick exchange and quick arm action. She has backspin on the ball and makes accurate throws to her target. Offensively, Samantha has an athletic stance with a short stride to contact. She loads and stays balanced throughout her swing. Samantha has a smooth swing and an explosive lower half. She has fast bat speed and takes a direct swing path to contact. Samantha squares up the ball gap-to-gap and hits the ball well to all fields. She has great extension and barrel control. Overall, Samantha has great game awareness and will continue to improve on all parts of her game to play at the collegiate level.
