She generates fast bat speed and makes consistent contact. She works the middle of the field with line drive power. Working to extend through contact will allow her to see an increase in her power production. In the OF, Shaycelen reads the ball off the bat and shows agile range. She presents her glove on time, fields with soft hands and makes a clean transfer. She plays through the ground ball and uses the crow hop well. She makes accurate throws with carry. On the mound, Shaycelen has a confident presence. She shows good balance, has a free arm action and has good mechanics. She is able to control the zone and creates a good change in her speed to keep hitters off balance. Working on her control will round out her skill set. Overall, Shaycelen is an athletic player with the tools needed to play at the collegiate level.
