01/12/2024 - Softball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Sophia is a 2028 grad who catches. She has great framing skills and an on time block. In the box, she is patient and attacks her pitch. She has a small load, good barrel control, and hits the ball to both sides of the field. She continues to show strides of reaching her full potential. Overall, Sophia has a solid skill set and the ability to continue improving her game on the diamond.
12/27/2023 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Marlborough (Boston), MA Sophia is a 2028 grad who catches and plays outfield. She presents her glove, tracks well and covers ground. She has a clean exchange and posted a 2.25-second pop time. Sophia has an active pre-pitch in the outfield, attacks the balls and gets behind. She has a strong base and setup in the box and works to hit the ball up the middle. Overall, Sophia has the skill set to continue improving her game on the diamond and we look forward to seeing what her future holds.
06/01/2023 - Softball Factory College World Series - Futures Select Training Sophia is a 2028 grad out of North Andover, MA who catches. She is very coachable. She has a low pop time of 2.13 seconds and an overhand velocity of 51MPH. In the box, Sophia makes adjustments. She has a tall setup, high hands and small load to contact producing a 55MPH exit velocity. Overall, Sophia has a solid skill set and the ability to continue improving her game. We look forward to seeing what the future holds as she enters her 8th grade year.
02/18/2023 - National Evaluation and Tryout - Marlborough (Boston), MA Sophia is a 2028 grad who catches. She tracks i well and keeps her chin tucked. Sophia has active feet and a quick exchange. She has firm hands when receiving and accurate throws to her target. She has a low pop time of 2.50 seconds and on-line throws. In the box, she sees the ball well and hits the ball where it is pitched. Overall, Sophia has a solid skill set on the diamond.
