04/29/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Adrian (Detroit), MI Sydney is a 2023 two-way player as a RHP/1B. On the mound, Sydney uses a 4-pitch package. She has controlled mechanics and does a nice job of creating spin on the ball. She works in the upper 40's to low 50's. Working to be explosive with her lower half will allow her to see more velocity. At 1B, Sydney has a good presence. She handles the routine play and works to get to the bag quickly. Working to present her glove sooner will allow her to play though the ball and gain ground to her target. In the box, Sydney is a LHH that uses a square stance with a square stride. She works to be balanced through the ball and is a spray hitter. When slapping she does a nice job of deadening the ball. Working to create rhythm in her swing will allow her to see consistency in her production. Overall, Sydney is a young player and with continued coaching she will be able to take her game to the next level.
