06/18/2018 - Softball Factory World Series (Grad Year 2018-2022) Tehya returns to Softball Factory for the Softball Factory World Series. During game play Tehya worked hard every inning. She has a great build for the mound and showed good mechanics. Working to be confident in her pitches and engaging her lower half will allow her to see continued success. In the box, Tehya shows good pitch recognition and is able to work the count. She is able to draw the walk and be a consistent base runner for her team. She shows line drive power and is a spray hitter. Working to engage her lower half and extending through contact will allow her to see an increase in her power production. Overall, Tehya is a coachable player and with continued coaching she will take her skill set to the next level.
03/03/2018 - College PREP - Baltimore, MD Tehya is a 2019 right handed pitcher with a developing skill set. On the mound, she has a calm and confident presence. She keeps her arm motion close to her body in her wind up and stays fluid in her arm action. She has sharp movement on her 2-seam fastball and correct spin on both her curve ball and her drop ball. By focusing on driving through her lower half more she will create more velocity on all of her pitches. Offensively, Tehya has an athletic set up in the box with an on time stride to the ball. She stays smooth in her rhythm and center in her balance. She has a fast bat speed and makes consistently hard contact. She displays power in the gaps and has a solid bat path to the ball. Overall, she is very coachable and has great work ethic. If she continues to work hard she will do what it takes to play at the next level.
