She keeps her head on the ball and works to put the ball in play. She generates line drive power to the pull side. Working to take a direct route to the ball and extending through contact will allow Tiernan to see an increase in her consistency. Behind the plate, Tiernan has a quiet presence. She looks the ball in and works to frame back to the strike zone. She reads the ball in the dirt well and is quick to block the ball. She makes a quick exchange and is on target with her throws. Adding a long toss program to her workout will allow Tiernan to see an increase in her arm strength. Overall, Tiernan is a hard-working player and with continued coaching she will have the opportunity to play at the next level.
