07/07/2020 - 2020 Atlanta Legacy Showcase 16U Victoria continues to shine on the field and has a promising future. In the OF, she displays smooth / clean actions. She takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls but needs to work to get behind and plays through with momentum to her target. Range is a plus as she moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, she shows a tall setup. Hands are quick and work to and through a level swing path. She shows a feel for the barrel through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Mental makeup is a plus as she is very coachable and plays the game with lots of energy.
05/23/2020 - All-In Membership - Columbia, SC Victoria continues to show improvements in her softball tools and has the makings of a special type player on the field. At SS, defensive abilities are now outstanding as she displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as she works around balls and plays through with her body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. Throws are accurate with carry across the diamond as she gets rid of the baseball quickly. At the plate, hitting abilities have improved, now showing well above average skills. Hands are quick (64 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a level swing path. She stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Barrel accuracy is a plus and utilizes lower half well through the swing. Victoria has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as she continues to progress her game.
12/27/2019 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament (Prospects) Victoria Williams is a 2022 short stop with a strong skill set. Defensively, she has a good first step to the ball put into play and is agile to both her glove side and back hand side. Her throws across the diamond are accurate as well as her double play feeds. Offensively, Victoria is a line-drive hitter who makes consistent contact and has a fluid rhythm. Overall, Victoria is a hard worker, coachable, and has good aptitude.
